Approximately 1.16 million m³ (1.74 million tonnes) of sand dredged from Poole Harbour channels and approaches was used to replenish beaches of Swanage and Poole, and at Bournemouth between Hengistbury Head and Southbourne.

The following winter the project continued at Bournemouth beach, between Boscombe and Alum Chine, using a further 700,000 m³ of sand from a Licensed Dredging Area off the Isle of Wight.
